A giant skeleton that is fifteen times larger than a regular person is a vengeful spirit from Japanese mythology. A Gashadokuro is created when a large group of people die of starvation or when the bodies of soldiers are left to rot on the battlefield. Their bones and anger combines to form a giant skeleton. Gashadokuros were more common in the past when famine and battle happened more often.
Gashadokuros eat people. They are usually invisible until you are in their grasp. When they see a person walking alone late at night they will pick them up, crush their body with their hands and rip off the person’s head with its teeth. It will then drink the blood that is pouring out of the corpse. When a Gashadokuro is nearby you will hear a light ringing in your ears. This sound will grow louder when you are about to be its target.
Gashadokuros are indestructible but they will eventually disappear on their own when the malice they have burns out but this can take decades. The only things that will ward off a Gashadokuro are Shinto charms
